Mike DeMelo, Senior ConnectedDrive Specialist at BMW Group Canada, introduced the latest in-car technologies. BMW Back-Up Assistant is a system that memorizes your route forward in order to drive you back out with no steering input.

To help drivers get out of confined situations, it can reverse for distances of up to 50 metres by autonomously driving the same line it took when moving forward.

This is a great function for those tight underground parking spaces that you can drive into, but know you’re going to struggle getting out of.
